活动宗旨&主办单位
為弦樂界建立一個嶄新的國際弦樂交流平臺， 香港國際音樂家協會IMAHK主辦國際弦樂公開賽， 邀請來自中國大陸、德國、波蘭、奧地利、美國、加拿大、意大利、英國、法國、韓國、香港等國家地區的當今國際傑出的演奏家和教育家擔任評判。活動期間除了比賽以外還將邀請評委嘉賓舉辦大師課及專題講座和音樂會。每兩年一屆在全球不同的國家或地區巡迴舉辦。
为弦乐界建立一个崭新的国际交流平台， EP国际跨国文化交流协会、香港国际音乐家协会IMAHK及广东小提琴教育学会联合主办国际弦乐公开赛，本赛事将来年于香港及奥地利举办。同时，大赛组委会将邀请来自中国、德国、波兰、奥地利、美国、加拿大、香港当今国际杰出的演奏家和教育家担任评判。活动期间除了比赛以外还将邀请评委嘉宾举办专题讲座及音乐会。
香港国际音乐家协会(HONGKONG INTERNATIONAL MUSICIAN ASSOCIATION，简称IMA.HK)注册于香港的国际性艺术交流及艺术等级资格鉴定的专业音乐团体。旨在为世界各地音乐家建立一个相互交流共同发展的国际平台，定期举办音乐会、演奏会、大师班、论坛、讲座及赛事交流等活动。香港，中西文化交汇，人才荟萃，是亚洲文化艺术活动最有生气的地方。是全球艺术家、艺人必到之地。
广东小提琴教育学会成立于1988年7月，原名全国少儿小提琴教育联谊会广东分会。学会直属广东省民政厅，广东省文联领导，广东省音协业务主管，系非盈利性质的社会民间学术团体。是由我省热心少儿小提琴教学研究的小提琴教育家、演奏家、教师、演员以及热爱小提琴教育事业的同志自愿组成。坚持“走正道、办实事、眼向下、弘扬民族文化”的方针。致力于少儿小提琴业余教育，提高我省少儿小提琴教育水平和演奏水平，促进我省少儿音乐事业的发展是会员的共同目标。 长期以来，学会不间断地组织少儿小提琴教学研讨活动，交流省内外各地小提琴教学信息，举办有关小提琴夏令营，承办各类型小提琴演奏比赛和业余小提琴考级活动。

小提琴组别及曲目 ：
有公開組、青年、少年、兒童組、特別獎組、專題組、中國作品組、自由選取組、齊奏組。中提琴组别及曲目：

初赛奖项：
各组别评分标准为一百分制，85分以上一等奖;
80-84.99分二等奖；
75-79.99分三等奖；
74.99分以下优秀奖。
三等奖以上的参赛选手将获得进入香港总决赛资格。
The competition runs on a 100 point scale.
The prizes are set according to the following standards:
the First Prizes-85 points or above,
the Second Prize-80~84.9 points,
the Third Prize-75~79.9points
and the Excellence Awards-74.9 points or below.
Contestants who get the Third Prize and above will be qualified for the Final in Hong Kong.
决赛奖项：
1、本项赛事各组别均设置奖项：第一、二、三、四、五名以及一、二、三等奖、优秀奖。
2、如果前五名选手得分未达到组委会和评委团共同制定的演奏水平及分数线。
将会出现名次空缺的情况。其中：
第一名须在（含）93分以上，第二名须在（含）90分以上，
第三名须在（含）85分以上，第四、五名须在（含）80分以上。

4、初赛结果将于即日公布，并于二十天内以书面形式作核实通知。而所有海外参赛者则于二零一六年六月一日之前，以书面形式通知。
5、参赛者必须于比赛开始前十五分钟到达比赛场地，办理登记手续。
6、所有已列明年龄限制之组别，参赛者必须携带附有近照之有效之身份证明档或旅游证件，以便比赛场地之工作人员作年龄之核实。协奏曲组之伴奏者则不受此限。
7、参赛者于比赛当日不可穿着制服或校服。
8、赛事委员会有权随时更改比赛时间表。如遇上由教育署发出因恶劣天气或其他特殊原因而需要停课之指示，所有当日举行之赛事将会全部取消，直至另行通告
9、对于评审委员所作出之最终比赛成绩，任何人均不得异议。
10、评审委员有权于比赛中途终止参赛者的演出，参赛者不得异议。
11、如参赛者之演出超过法定时限，评审委员有权终止参赛者之演出。
12、所有与评审委员会之成员有任何亲属或师徒关系之参赛者，必须于申请表格内列明 ; 而该评审委员则不司参与该赛事组别之评审工作。如有违规者，其参赛资格将被取消。
13、任何人士不得于比赛场地内进行摄影、录音或录像。一切录像版权均属赛事委员会所有。
14、所有在场人士均需小心看管个人财物。如有任何遗失，赛事委员会均不会负责。
15、已缴交之报名费将不获退还，亦不得转让他人或转作另一项比赛之费用。
16、如参赛者的演出未达到赛会所规定的水平，赛事委员会将不会颁发任何奖项名次及该名次之奖品。
17、参赛者所填报之数据必须属实。如有违规者，其参赛资格将被取消。所有数据只会作比赛之用。

1.The competition is open to all performers regardless of the age and nationality except for groups of OPEN, YOUTH, FREE CHOICE and UNISON. Please refer to Groups & Pieces for details.
2.Each candidate may compete in more than one group.
3.Candidates must compete in the local preliminary contest beforehand.
4.The result of preliminary contest shall come out on the day of the contest and the written confirmation shall be released within twenty days. All overseas candidates shall be notified in writing before 1st June, 2016.
5.Candidates must register on site fifteen minutes before the competition.
6.For groups with age limit, all candidates, except accompanists in the group of CONCERTO, must produce identification document or travel document to staff on site for age verification.
7.Candidates must not wear any uniform on the day of competition.
8.The Competition Committee reserves the right to adjust the schedule without consent of the candidates. Should the Education Department releases the notice of school suspension due to inclement weather, etc., any competition of the day shall be postponed pending notice.
9.The decision of the Jury is final and is not open to further discussion.
10.The Jury maintain the right to terminate the performance of any candidates and the decision is not open to further discussion.
11.Should the duration of any performance exceed the specified limit, the Jury may immediately terminate the performance.
12.Should there be any family or educational relationship with any member of the Jury, the candidate must specify in the application form and the jury member involved shall be eliminated from the Jury. Any candidate in breach of this rule shall be disqualified from the competition.
13.Photography, audio and/or video recording are prohibited during the competition. All video copyrights are reserved to the Committee of the competition.
14.Each individual on site shall be responsible to attend to his or her belongings. The Committee shall not be held liable for any loss.
15.The entry fee is not refundable and cannot be transferred to other candidates or events.
16.The Committee reserves the right to withhold any prize or award should the required standard not be retained.
17.All information submitted by the candidate must be true and accurate. Failure to do so shall result in disqualification of the candidate. All information submitted shall be used for the competition only.
18.The Committee reserves the right to disqualify any candidate should there be any breach.
19.The organiser reserves the right to modify the rules without prior notice.
20.Instructions on receiving the score sheet and certificate can be referred to on the website of the competition (www.string-isc.com) from September 2016.
